Stroll to dinner

To be able to walk from the inn to three fine restaurants is such a bonus when you choose a vacation base. You will probably be out most of the day exploring Cape Cod, so when you return you may not feel like another drive. Thankfully that’s okay, because these three restaurant gems are on your doorstep! For outstanding dining further afield (not very far, in some cases) please go to the Restaurants section of the DISCOVER page. There are many more wonderful places that we don’t want you to miss!

The Old Yarmouth Inn

The oldest inn on Cape Cod, dating back to 1696, has for many years served creative, delicious and varied New England dishes to tempt and satisfy everyone who dines there. There are always daily seafood specials including their wonderful baked stuffed lobster. It is a personal favourite, and we ourselves stroll over for dinner as often as we can. Too hard to resist, many of our guests dine here every evening of their stay!

Serious aficionados of Japanese cuisine will take great delight in dining here, its authentic atmosphere and offerings are the best around - in fact many diners travel from Boston just for dinner, that’s some testament! The restaurant has been in the same hands for many years, and the owner is also the sushi chef, a craftsman indeed!

This restaurant is everything you want when looking for an upscale Italian meal. Renowned chef/owner AJ Black grew up in Sicily, and learned his culinary skills in the family-owned restaurant in Rome, before attending the Italian Culinary Institute, after which he gained more experience in the Grand Hotel. He also presides over two other wonderful restaurants: Il Tesoro in both New York City and on Sanibel Island, Florida. With such a pedigree you can truly expect a culinary experience to remember!
