Dennis Pond, a five minute stroll to our Residents Beach

Dennis Pond is not a pond at all. It is
a lake, at least to our overseas visitors, but if you’re from The Great Lakes, I guess it is a pond. I am glad we cleared that one up. It is also nestled
in a beautiful Conservation Area, and a mere 5 minute stroll from the Inn. All are factors making it enormously popular with our guests.

It is a considerable asset to us, even with the Bay beaches so close. European and British guests in particular love fresh water swimming and the contrast
to the ocean. Germans are keen on that pre breakfast dip to start the day, while we Brits like a clean water experience to cool off after a long day
touring. In France there are Dennis Ponds everywhere and nearly always accompanied by imported sand for the “plage”.

Dennis Pond and its white sand beach is just as popular with the residents. The tree-lined shoreline makes it a favourite for sunsets across the water,
or a tranquil picnic spot. There are changing and rest rooms, and the ice cream truck stops there during the Summer. Add to all these attributes, that
the water temperature is 10 degrees warmer than The Bay, that there are
no sharks and often a lifeguard present. Make sure you don’t miss Dennis Pond during your stay with us!
